Serving Casey County Through Community Partnership

Operation Sharing is a ministry of Christian Appalachian Project (CAP), made possible through partnerships with local organizations including Dunnville Christian Church and others throughout the region.

Welcome to Operation Sharing

Operation Sharing is a resource-sharing ministry of Christian Appalachian Project (CAP) that connects donated goods and essential supplies with nonprofit partners serving their local communities.

Through Dunnville Christian Church’s partnership with CAP, a new Operation Sharing Hub is being established in Casey County, Kentucky. This hub will help receive, organize, and distribute resources to local churches, schools, fire departments, and community organizations so they can deliver hope, essential resources, and practical help to families and communities in need.

By working together, this partnership will strengthen Casey County and surrounding communities by building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ's love through service in Appalachia.

Our mission is straightforward: “We Deliver Hope.”

What is Operation Sharing?

Operation Sharing is a ministry network that connects:
  •  Corporate donors who give essential products
  •  Warehouses and outreach hubs that receive and organize supplies
  •  Churches, schools, fire departments, and agencies that distribute items locally
  •  Volunteers who serve communities with compassion
By redistributing donated products to nonprofit partners for community use.

Resources may include:
  •  Food items
  •  Hygiene products
  •  Cleaning supplies
  •  School supplies
  •  Household essentials
  •  Emergency relief materials
  •  Seasonal support items
Rather than letting usable products go to waste, Operation Sharing helps place them into the hands of people who need them most.

Operation Sharing increases the capacity of nonprofit organizations to meet the needs of their local communities.

Why This Partnership Matters

Many rural communities face challenges such as:
  • Rising food and household costs
  •  Limited local resources
  •  Poverty and financial hardship
  •  Emergency needs after storms or disasters
  •  Small nonprofits trying to meet growing needs
By creating a hub in Casey County, CAP is bringing resources closer to home and helping local organizations respond faster and more effectively.

When ministries and nonprofits work together, more families are helped, more resources are shared, and hope reaches farther.

Brief History of Operation Sharing

Christian Appalachian Project has served Appalachia since 1964, working to reduce poverty and strengthen communities.

Operation Sharing was developed as a partnership-based outreach network that enables donated resources to be distributed through trusted nonprofit organizations across the region. Today, many local partners help carry out that mission in their own communities.

CAP’s Operation Sharing program partners with a network of 1,500 nonprofit organizations, community-based agencies, schools, and churches. We deliver hope to people in need through the distribution of essential items across all 13 Appalachian states and two Ozark states, Arkansas and Missouri.
